I changed internet service providers today so the tir.com addy won't be any good after tomorrow. My permanent e-mail addy is noofies @ noofies-zoo.com (take out the spaces). That gets forwarded to the e-mail addy I have through my service provider.

Does the service seem better or was it just your phone lines you were having problems with before?

The problem I was having a while back turned out to be my answering machine, which went bad and caused all kinds of static. When I got a new answering machine, my static problems stopped. I just couldn't justify paying $22/month for mediocre service and incredibly long tech support wait time (sometimes an hour or longer).
So far, this new service seems to be OK. I'm connecting consistently at what, for 56K dialup, are top speeds and it seems to be faster than my earthlink connection. Occasionally there's a 10-15 minute period where I can't connect or can't download or send e-mail, but that's been minimal and really not a big deal. It's definitely worth putting up with to save the $13.50! And there's an added bonus - I can send mail through their server with my noofies-zoo.com return address, so I can send and receive mail from that addy without anyone seeing my provider e-mail addy.
