show me about giving fluids is how to set up the bag and line. The needles they give you are huge and hurt when you some how mangage to pull the wrong end off and jam the needle in your finger. I really don't know if I will be able to do this I have already put it off for two days. shelley

Did they show you the rest of it? Yes they did, thanks for the links at least now I know I have it right. I just need to convice myself that it isn't going to hurt him but will help him. I have had some good injuries over the years since I am so clumsy and it never bothers me, one time I had a thick sliver go all the way up my thumb nail so I took a razor blade and cut through my thumb nail from one end to the other with out batting an eye and took the sliver out. The minute I see someone else with an injury my stomach gets queasy. Maybe I should practice on an orange or something tomorrow with the wasted needle that went in my finger I have this feeling the needle actually goes in easier than a person imagines. shelley

get some fluids in him, the needle didn't bother him but as soon as I released the valve or whatever you would call it he started squirming and then I had 3 cats come to investigate and next thing you know the needle slid out. The vet hadn't mentioned warming the fluids but I think I will next time (seen this mentioned on a site.).
