I guess I should have been prepared for this but I wasn't I need to try and find some dirt this time of year. wish me luck. Edit: I think I have thought of something that might work. They sell trays of wheat grass at the whole food store I think I will try putting one in the litter box. shelley

GC has location issues? Oh, boy. I assume you know the old trick of putting something that he's soiled (that smells) in the litterbox. Then there's always potting soil? But that probably wouldn't smell "right" to him either. It's been unusually warm, in the mid-high 70s (25C) here. I could send you some dirt. Or leaves. Would you like some leaves? I've got lots of them.

is that he doesn't want to come out of hiding so I am going to try finding a smaller litter box and slide it back into his corner. I got a fairly good look at him last night and he looks 100 times better already, his ears are clean, his eyes have cleared up and he is eating and sleeping really well, he sometimes doesn't even wakeup when I take food in. I am still trying to figure out if he can hear which I don't think he can. I actually have lots of leaves too, that are covered in snow . It has been melting here maybe I will see if I can get to them or some dirt but it may be too wet to use. I didn't actually know about putting something soiled in the litter box. It has been 10 years since Patches I can't remember what we did with her I think we used dirt. Thankfully he is in a room with lino and most of it was absorbed by the pillow he used. I don't know if it is the bladder infection but his urine doesn't have the strong tom cat smell either. shelley
