She is the only dog in the world who does not like La Creme or any yogurt. We always have vanilla la creme and often plain- for the punk cot tot and the pom. The yoots love it all, and eat mine mousse. *G* I've been dabbing some nutrical in thrice daily - just a bit on flew and giving her white meat chicken and other morsels- beef etc. Her appetite has picked up a bit again. We do g-flex, but not lately, as her gut sometimes reacts to even that usually enjoyed "treat." She's improved, but not up to full speed (which is not much for a relic. LMBO) She is something of a diva and a complainer- and not stoic - as are many Poodles we've had. She looks great, (skin, eyes, everything, teeth) it's just the combo of off feed and tail tuck that had me concerned. She's working greenies again and warning growling at the other dogs again- good. We need some sun for the old dog's warming bones. In the meantime , we're doing heating pad and massage. Her bark is back and close to full volume. There for a while, she was far too quiet. She usually sings the soprano lead in the trio. *G* I think we've got some spring in the air soon and in her step yet. I'm going to check with Painless re chf meds - he's been thus far of the less is more school, and me too- unless more would be better. These tiny toys have reactions to many meds -and this old apricot gal is among 'em. (I found my scrawling notes in her file- on the December adventures at the e vets various- amid the blizzard we mushed for instant de feets and toe jam infection (out of nowhere it spung) - and my list of meds and feedings and temp takings and fevered concerns. Gad zooks. Always a festival is dog keeping. *G*)
So sorry to hear you've lost the tiny kitten boy. Bless your heart for trying to save him. He and you certainly did all each could do. What a little darling piece of work he was. Phew.
I'll be taking a vacation from posting a la nicheville for the nonce. Thus, this-here response. OK!

Have a good trip. I had a trip this morning. The absolute idiots who've adopted the brindle boxer from the shelter had the dog tied out today and she cut her side (rather badly) on the rocks by her tie-out. I was livid. They've not taken her to the vet. She's about three or so- very beautiful and alarmed. Her owner died and the family turned her in to the shelter. She's got a heart murmur and the twinkleheads who've adopted her are not even having it checked by the vet as to what grade or if meds or surgery or what. They said "Well, we can't afford to take her to the vet." I lost my temper and said "Then, you don't need to have a dog and you should not have that girl who needs a vet. " Oh my blood pressure. I know little about Boxers but understand heart murmurs are common and said so- and printed out all sorts of info for them- from boxer clubs and breeders and rescues- which will go in the trash. Blast it all. Now I'm going to go take them some meds for the dog's cut. People stink. (Write that down.)

Urgh... dratted computer. I'm going to post this as I go and keep modifying it so I don't lose stuff again....
Sorry about your poophead neighbors. Yes, people stink. Not all, but a good many of them.
Glad to hear Lazer's a bit better. We've got moderate temps and sunshine today, and I think everyone feels better. Weagles were social butterflies this weekend, will post about it later.
Have you tried supplementing Coenzyme Q10? The herb hawthorne encourages a stronger heartbeat and is a mild diuretic. A good snack offering would be cooked heart - chicken (or other poultry), lamb, veal, beef, etc. Calorickle, and a good source of both Coenzyme Q10 and taurine. Another good snack would be sardines (in spring water or tomato sauce), salmon, mackerel - extra Omega3's with anti-inflammatory properties. (Drain off liquid, fill can with cool water and allow to sit for 15-30 minutes to rinse out some of the salt and rinse off tomato sauce.) Bummer about the yogurt. Do you remember Spotty Dot the beagle/brittany mix? She loved lemon yogurt. Her little face would twist itself into a cone from the sour taste, but as soon as she could straighten it back out she wanted more. She got a lot of lemon yogurt, and I got a great deal of amusement from it.

I can't abide sardines, (anything about them- gack) even for my dogs' sake. But - I can slice and dice chicken lips and birdy feets and hearts, and livers and naughty bits- without a case of the heaving hurly-gurlys. And, that's a good idea to look inwardly most fowl .I did not think of that amid the hand-wringing. And- btw I don't like any 'maters for dogs. Acid's turn to dine, in my opine. )Let's use that as an excuse not to sardine in sauce. LMBO )
The tie-out Boxer is in. Apparently, they're alarmed at my info. Good. Today is their supposedly last day of the trial run for the shelter's dog to see a vet. Doodleman, a normally mild-mannered poodleman is steamed. He told the unbalanced woman (not me- heh) the olde saw about no bargin dogs and cost of dogs over its lifetime. Her reply "I can't afford it." It's something of a puzzlement about why they use the shelter to entertain their children- a la petting zoo, I suppose. Doodleman said "Have you forgotten the problems with the Maltese and what happened?" She said "No but all the kids wanted this dog, it's a brindle." Yes. Yes it is. Also going to cost a bundle in heartache and suffering- (for the dog) if they don't vet it asap- imho. Might be why first family surrendered the dog. She's o-trained Noofs according to them. She can "sit." A huh. Sweetly tempered little girl is getting pounded by their insane terrier- who btw does not "sit." Uh uh.
The big drooling canines I'm sitting on this week have the other extreme in a dog owner. *G* Very heartening. My care sheet for those beloved dogs of his- is written out like a doctor's orders chart. Praise be. One item "Three pumps of Gentocin sprayed on twice daily on X's hot spot and please use those eye wipe pads you gave us, if you have time." *G* (written under one dog's list of to-doodles.)
Chicken parts and out. Last night -she got roast beef. We just had the yogurt. ROFL And I grated off a knuckle bone making cheese sprinkles for her eggs. Maybe I should offer Laze the knuckle bone. Maybe not. OK!
